Why Journal?

I never used to be great at journaling. I didn’t really see the point when I was younger. All I understood of journaling was writing about all my crushes growing up (yes, there were many!) or recording all my woes in life. It was a way to vent without complaining to others.

Now I realize that’s there is great value and purpose to it. Come find out why. (There’s a little upcoming surprise in there too!)

We’ve explored the areas that the Lord worked in them to build up their character and their stories, in order to lead a multitude of other people to Him. Here’s the thing, we’ve looked at a lot of people. Now I want to look to God.

Giving for God’s or My Glory?

Matthew 6 is full of great money managing advice. It also shows you that your spiritual life and financial situation are often tied closely together. Either your heart is inclined to boast, be proud, and flaunt what you have, storing up treasures for yourself. Or, it is humble, quiet, and focused on what God wants for you, with an eternal kingdom focus. Though the contrasts sound quite different, it can be hard to really see which category you fall in at times.

A prophecy was given 400 years before it was fulfilled. A prophet would come and restore families. He would declare the Lord’s coming. It wouldn’t be Elijah himself, but someone bold and confident like him. One that the people would respect.
