Which Career to Choose?
I can’t help but laugh when I think back on my childhood. I was so strong-willed in my thoughts. I knew what career I wanted, where I was going to live, what age I was going to get married, the possible names of my husband, when I was going to have children, and how many. Was anyone else like that? Does this sound familiar or do you think I was a little over the top?
Why Journal?
I never used to be great at journaling. I didn’t really see the point when I was younger. All I understood of journaling was writing about all my crushes growing up (yes, there were many!) or recording all my woes in life. It was a way to vent without complaining to others. Now I realize that’s there is great value and purpose to it. Come find out why. (There’s a little upcoming surprise in there too!)
A New Challenge
Do you ever get stuck in a comfortable place? You want something that’s in front of you, but your comfort of your current circumstances leaves you wanting without trying for it?
Who Inspired You?
Who are the people that have impacted your life in a profound way? Is there a teacher, pastor, coach, or relative that comes to mind that encouraged and helped guide and inspire you to become who you are today?
Easter Fun
What did you do for Easter as a child? Were there certain traditions your family took part in?
One Blessed Birthday
Even though my birthday was during lockdown, I wasn’t worried. I knew that we’d still be able to make the day fun. Michael went above and beyond to make it special for me. I didn’t even think about COVID. It ended up being one of the best birthdays I’ve ever had.
Surprise Blessings
As each moment presented itself, and I prayed and gave thanks to God, I could feel joy return. I felt thankful for the day and all these blessings He gave us. I counted myself blessed for all who are in my life, for all that I have, and for the focus He’s given me to endure. The enemy wasn’t going to ruin my Christmas, and he didn’t!

Shaking Things Up this Christmas
My parents never let us say that we were bored growing up. We had plenty of toys and things to do to entertain ourselves. We had friends in the neighbourhood. We really didn’t have an excuse. It used to annoy me when they said that, but now I’m so grateful that they did. I had to get creative as a child. I think it helps me now as well. There’s very rarely a moment that I’m lost in what to do. There’s always something.
Why Comfort Boxes?
But I knew that was just the beginning. There was more to come. I needed to be faithful with what He had given me to start, and the pieces would come together in His time.
