Life takes community. It takes supporting and cheering one another on. I have been so blessed with all the encouragement I’ve had from many of you along my concussion journey. Since I know there have been people praying for me, I wanted to take a moment to explain where things are at.

Suddenly, two skateboarders whiz by her. As she turns to watch them, she drops her lollipop on the ground. She feels a flood of emotions overcome her. What will she do?
All of this is wonderful. The vacations, extra family time, and getting those projects done around the house. The only concern is that the routines are lost, the heat is overwhelming, and your sleep patterns are thrown off. It can be tempting to want to fully let loose for the summer, but I caution you. If you haven’t experienced it already, your brain is not going to be very happy with you. So, how do you find a balance between summer bliss and brain comfort?
It was a wonderful evening. Michael and I enjoyed a delicious rib dinner at the restaurant. We went for a swim when we returned to the hotel. It was a quiet night. We were the only ones in the pool. We swam laps and enjoyed the warm water soothing our bodies after a long drive. It was perfect.
