Ezra 4 – A Time of Testing
The pattern of life with Yahweh is pretty consistent. He is predictable in His life with us. That may sound crazy with all of the unexpected things that happen, but let’s pause and take a step back to gain a broader perspective for a moment.
Episode 8 – Surprise Gifts Given During Tragedy
Brad and his sister Marcia were close as kids. As they grew older, God led each of them into Christian service. This meant they lived far from one another and led busy lives which made it difficult to stay connected. Despite this, every time they were together, they were able to pick up where they left off. In the midst of raising four adopted children and supporting her husband in pastoral ministry, Marcia was diagnosed with cancer. The following years were deeply painful and tragic as Marcia fought to live but ultimately lost the battle to cancer. In this episode, Marcia’s brother Brad shares about his family’s journey to Marcia’s funeral and how God’s provisions along the way provided not only evidence of His goodness in an hour of darkness, but hope as he continued to process a complicated grief afterwards. Are you on a journey with tragedy and grief…

No Turning Back
An elderly lady approached me one Sunday morning at church. She had a weathered look from years of suffering on her face. She spoke strongly and almost seemed stern most times, but there was something intriguing about her. There was a softness under that hard exterior; one that exuded wisdom and closeness with Christ. She didn’t speak often, but you sure listened when she did. So, when she approached me, I gave her my undivided attention.

Finances – Sales to Your Advantage
My eyes grew wide when I got to the cash register and realized that I had gone $100.00 over budget! I could have blamed the higher prices of everything due to inflation. I tried to justify that we needed everything that I bought. Most of that was true, but truth be told, the culprit was me. I let the sales suck me in.
