Let’s put some excitement back into giving this Christmas. I know there’s so many adorable little babies’ clothes and lots of toys all around the stores. It’s tugging at your heart to want to buy them. You could buy some for your nieces and nephews. Don’t have any? No worries. I’ve got another idea for you.

Ruth wasn’t a book that I thought about regarding infertility. It’s a book about choosing God, overcoming grief, and finding a kinsman redeemer. But there’s a story deep within the pages that was suggested, but not elaborated on. A story of barrenness.

It’s a question many of us women face. When is it okay to buy baby items? Should we prepare or wait? If we’re infertile, what should we do with the stuff we have?

I want to take some dedicated time to truly thank each infertile couples’ family and friends. Anyone that is connected to someone dealing with infertility can tell that it isn’t an easy trial to go through. But those family and friends that walk through it with the couple, they feel it and grieve it in their own way too.

To those who have adopted or are considering adoption, I think it is fascinating to realize that you were adopted as well. If you are a child of God, then you were adopted the moment you said yes to a relationship with Jesus. You are a chosen child of God. Wow! What a thought.
