Last week we talked about hitting the pavement and working hard during the school year, and in the summer, to pay for your education. I realize that it might be difficult to completely cover all of your school costs, especially if you’re attending university. This next tip could cover the gap or even pay for your full education!

Are you or someone you know heading off to college or University this fall? Are you already panicking about the massive amounts of student loans you’re going to rack up?

It’s certainly been a whacky year. We’ve all had our opinions on how things should have been done. Some of us have had to trust in the government’s support when our jobs got put on hold. We’ve done what is necessary to hang on and keep going.

We’ve only got a couple weeks left of blissful summer before routines roll out again. Going back to work and school schedules can be an adjustment. You’ve got to juggle getting everyone ready and out the door in the morning. You come home after a busy day at work. Some of you now have groups opening up again in the evening as well. One area I find that takes a back seat in all this is your meals.

…Where this passage holds me accountable is more the big picture type stuff. I can trust God with the daily things and with my needs, but what about my dreams?

I was in Walmart the other day and noticed the shelves at the front of the store stocked with school supplies. Having worked in a school for many years, this “warning” was like seeing Christmas stuff in October. It seems so early and yet reality is that it’s coming up soon.

After being stuck for months, the last thing you probably want is a staycation. If the budget doesn’t allow more than that though, let’s spice stuff up and get creative so you can still enjoy.

Now that things are opened up again in Canada, some of you have the itch to get out and take a vacation. But your budget may have gotten a little tighter this year. If you aren’t sure of what to do, how about a road trip? If I could do it as a broke college student, so can you.
