“Every priest stands day after day ministering and offering the same sacrifices time after time, which can never take away sins. But this man, after offering one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God. He is now waiting until His enemies are made His footstool. For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are sanctified” – Hebrews 10:11-14

We have a lot to learn from the faithful people that have gone before us. They certainly had their flaws. That’s humanity. We are not infallible. However, we serve a God and King that is. Our faith can grow like our forefathers and mothers did. We can make great strides for Christ as well. Find out how Abraham did as we continue to take a look into Hebrews 11

“Therefore, since we also have such a large cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us lay aside every weight and the sin that so easily ensnares us. Let us run with endurance the race that lies before us…” Hebrews 12:1

There was evidence of the Lord all around us. So many people shared testimonies of God blessing them in various ways. Needed ways. Impactful ways. These met our needs. They warmed our hearts. They gave us a testimony to share of His goodness and faithfulness to us.

As I read through and reflected upon the story of Jesus’ birth, there’s another part of the story that I have been fascinated by this year. The movement of the Holy Spirit.

You don’t have to feel lonely or lost. The Holy One is there with you. This might just end up being one of the most memorable Christmases you’ll ever have.

As I think about the question now, I find myself feeling warm to it. What once terrified me is now a well received thought. I guess as my relationship grows with Jesus, it has now become something I yearn for rather than panic about. Something I would love to happen, rather than fear.

Imagine this… Your date picks you up. He’s dressed in a dashing tuxedo with a single rose in hand. He greets you with a gentle kiss on the cheek and leads you to his car. He opens the door for you as you get in….
