Finances – Do it Together

Are you the “numbers” person in your family? You enjoy math so doing the budget each month is fun for you. It’s easier for you to manage it, so you take that responsibility, to help your spouse who finds it stressful.

Or, perhaps you’re the spender of the family? You enjoy shopping a little too much, so doing a budget is frustrating for you. It’s easier to let your spouse take care of it and ask him/her to give you a limit on what you can spend each month?

Life After Debt

It’s been a wonderful first summer debt free. It’s brought growth, planning, and fun. We’ve gotten into a groove with the new budget and figured out the things we want to put our extra dollars into for the rest of the year. There were many lessons we learned while paying off debt, but one in particular has prominently transferred into this time as well. It’s the lesson of delayed gratification.

What Does a Rainbow and Finances Have in Common?

Majority of people are visual learners. We tend to be forgetful when we get caught up in day-to-day life. Even God Himself put a reminder before Him and people to see a rainbow and be reminded of His promise. God has a perfect memory. He hasn’t, nor will He ever, forget that promise. But He still sees the importance of having that sign there.
