The Roller Coaster of Emotions

A little girl is at the carnival with her mommy. She takes a lick of her lollipop and giggles when the flavours consume her tongue. Suddenly, two skateboarders whiz by her. As she turns to watch them, she drops her lollipop on the ground. She feels a flood of emotions overcome her. What will she do?

Just Say Yes

I thought my brain would heal itself. I thought that it just needed time. Like a bone or muscular injury, I thought that if I did six weeks of therapy or so, it would be good to go. But it wasn’t. So now what?

Your Summer Reminders

All of this is wonderful. The vacations, extra family time, and getting those projects done around the house. The only concern is that the routines are lost, the heat is overwhelming, and your sleep patterns are thrown off. It can be tempting to want to fully let loose for the summer, but I caution you. If you haven’t experienced it already, your brain is not going to be very happy with you. So, how do you find a balance between summer bliss and brain comfort?

Water, I need Water

It was a wonderful evening. Michael and I enjoyed a delicious rib dinner at the restaurant. We went for a swim when we returned to the hotel. It was a quiet night. We were the only ones in the pool. We swam laps and enjoyed the warm water soothing our bodies after a long drive. It was perfect.
