How do we honestly have hope when our trials are overwhelming? What does hope even mean?

As I was reading Philippians 4 – Colossians 2, there was one particular message that stood out to me, among many others. Let’s see if you can pick it out through these passages

I was left in wonder; Reminded of the depth of details that God invests in us. There have been many times over the course of the last week or so where the Lord has shared testimony of His care and detail regarding our lives.

What is the point of marriage? Why do we have to sign a contract? Can’t we just live with whoever we love? How do you know who to marry? Why do we have to love and respect our spouse?

“So then you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with the saints, and members of God’s household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the cornerstone. The whole building, being put together by Him, grows into a holy sanctuary in the Lord. You also are being built together for God’s dwelling in the Spirit” – Ephesians 2:19-21

I’ll keep this short today, as I’m sure some of you have something special planned.

When we ask, God answers. Michael took me somewhere last Monday night. I didn’t really feel up to it, but felt I should go. As we stood in the place, I was filled with tears of awe. The Lord opened my spiritual eyes to see where He was taking me with Hope Through Hard Times…

This is why living in community is so important. We all suffer, but we endure together. We ourselves are comforted, thus we can be a comfort to others. God gives us strength, and therefore, we can hold others up in His strength as well. We are weak in ourselves, but we have the Holy Spirit’s power residing in us to empower us to do beyond what we are able.

I shared in my post on Thursday about an interesting story in the Bible. It was referring to the Spirit that was on Moses being divided onto the 70 elders of the camp of Israel. I realize that my prayer was out of context from the Scripture’s purpose at that point of history, but that’s what I felt led to pray. Since I am aware of that though, I would like to take the opportunity to share an amazing story of God’s power
