As I sit and stare at the blank screen, my mind is going off in 1000 directions and I am wondering if anything I write will make any sense. The full on invasion of Ukraine by Russian forces, which started a week ago has taken over my thoughts, my prayers, my life…

Imagine 2022 as the year where you actually experience everything that God has intended for you in this season. What would that look like for you? What kind of things would you do? What would you achieve? What would you experience? Who would you impact and how? What would you do differently from the past year? How would you feel?

One thing I love about this season is to take a trip back in time. Every morning I read some of the prophecies concerning Jesus. Conservative estimates say that He fulfilled at least 300 in his earthly life. What a boost to my faith to be reminded again.

Being a grade 3 teacher is a humbling experience. Yes, it’s a joy. Yes, it’s a privilege. But, boy is it edifying! If you’re a parent, a grandparent, an aunt, an uncle, a Sunday school teacher, or if you’ve ever just been around kids, you might know what I’m talking about. Kids have a special way of pushing us to our limits and causing us to see our own shortcomings.

He looked me square in the eye and said, “consider it a sacrifice play.”

It was a sunny Saturday afternoon at the end of June. I stood in the kitchen, chopping carrots to add to the dinner. As I quartered the carrot slices and put them in the pot of boiling water, my husband and our 4 children came home from an afternoon walk. Bethany, our eldest aged 6 at the time, got in first and burst through the door. Seeing me beside the worktop, she said with a tear stained face and a wobble in her voice: “Mummy, I have some good news and some bad news. The bad news is that I lost Owly and the good news is that I found 10p!”

Have you ever been in a season where the Lord keeps bringing back the same scripture? You could be in the supermarket and the kids are having a moment, having a bad day at work, or in the middle of a trial and God will just bring the scripture back to remembrance. It can make you giggle, give you comfort, and can also be a little convicting. That is what is happening to me in the season I am in. And as I navigate this season, I feel compelled to share in the hope to encourage. Because if he can fight continually for me then he can do the same for you. He shows no partiality.

Recently I have been thinking about how God is so brilliant! He’s so amazing words can’t describe Him. He is ineffable. Ineffable means too great to be put into words.

This post is so important for everyone. It brings great understanding to the reason and benefits we can find in taking time to rest.

My heart ached and I felt like it was…could it be…an invitation from Jesus? I stood still, tears flowing, heart and mind racing.
