God Chose and Made You

Written By: Nicole Van Pelt

Recently I have been thinking about how God is so brilliant! He’s so amazing words can’t describe Him. He is ineffable. Ineffable means too great to be put into words.

He loves and cares about me. That is so amazing to know! He looked at the world and knew He wanted one of me. He was so creative with everything He put into me, and He carefully placed me in my home with a family who loves me.

He didn’t just want one of me, He wanted one of you too. He loves you so much more than you could ever understand or comprehend. “Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your Heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?” Matthew 6:26 This is such a beautiful verse. I love the way it was worded. If God cares about the smallest bird who He created, why would He not care about you who He took more time to make and loves so much?

He didn’t just create humans, and birds. He created everything. This is so crazy to think about and it blows my mind all the time. He created all the living things, from trees and plants to animals and pets to humans with their own mind and body that works differently from each person to person. He created each snowflake and fingerprint differently than any made before. He made the sky, and the sun and stars. The way the sun sets and rises every day, painting a beautiful picture for us to enjoy. He made the stars to lighten up the sky at night, and the sun’s light reflected onto the
moon. And this is just our world I am talking about. He also created other planets, asteroids, meteoroids, galaxies, and so much more that we don’t yet know of.

Through all of this, He still wanted one of you. You are so valuable to Him. He made you, and He loves you. He sacrificed His One and only Son, so you would get to be in heaven with Him one day. “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 I know that all of you have probably heard of that verse, but please read it again and really think about the meaning of it.

This is how much He loves you. The fact that He would willingly go through the pain of knowing His Son is suffering the worst death ever just to see you in heaven has to say something. I think the greatest sacrifice anyone could ever make is to sacrifice their life for someone else’s. I heard it put like this, “God didn’t make a mistake. Nothing about you is a mistake. He created you for a purpose for a reason. He saw every mistake you would ever make, and still chose to die for you.” Zach Honnen. Imagine how sad that would be if that sacrifice wasn’t used. God has given you the opportunity to live in heaven with Him forever. Choose Him today.
